Ezra said, "Arise! For this matter is your responsibility, but we will be with you; be courageous and act" (Ezra 10:4 NASB).
We cannot wait for others to act. No one can, or should, accept your responsibility. Follow through with your customers' orders and service requests. Too often we say we're doing the best we can, or we blame a supplier for a mixup, or we place the shortcoming on the shipping company for late delivery, thinking we have washed our hands of blame for the concern. Remember, the responsibility is yours, period. Accept It.Then act on your responsibility. Don't offer excuses for any service or quality problem. Accept no excuses for not meeting customer commitments. Intervene personally as necessary. Go out of your way rather than ask your customer to bear the consequences. Your customers will be delighted and will come back with more business.
