Do you hire staff that who demonstrated an ability to learn from past errors?

In scripture we are told about Jesus, "Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things He suffered" (Hebrews 5:8 NASB).
My favorite question when interviewing a prospective staff member is to ask, "What were the two or three biggest mistakes you have made, and what did you learn from the experience?" Some paople will say, "I can't really recall a big error or mistake I made." When I hear this answer, I believe the person takes no initiative and therefore makes no mistakes, is unwilling to share past failure out of fear of not being hired, or hasn't learned from past errors. Instead, give me someone who sits back, tells me of several failures and understands what was learned from each lesson. Develop this habit and become a learning organization.
